Reservation policy

Reservation to OBCs has again gererated public debate.Persons belonging to reserved catagory are seemingly happy over the proposal while persons on other side of the divide appears to be furious.Present debate centers around reservation in IITs/IIMs and in private coys. and institutions, but I wish to draw attention towards the very policy.
The very policy is doctored as a remedy to treat a chronic disease which has infected our psyche and affected social norms.Disease has been rightly diagnosed as caste system which has been perniciously prevalent in our society since very long.Let us ponder whether the very cause of the disease is being prescribed as the medicine? If yes, then the question is whether we are treating the disease or creating more fertility for it to grow stronger?
